In art class we had to fill sixteen pages of a sketchbook by September 23. The pages could be filled with any kind of drawings. We had to decorate the cover of our sketchbooks. This assignment demonstrates self-directional skills because I had to do most of the sketches on my own time and I had to complete the pages in three weeks so I had to manage my time wisely. I am most proud of a sketch of a girl with stars and planets around her. I am proud of this sketch because it is kind of realistic and I am not very good at drawing realistically. The most difficult thing about this project was thinking of what to draw. I would be sitting with my sketchbook in front of me and have no idea what to draw. If I could redo this project I wouldn't do a certain page. I couldn't think of what to draw so I made a random drawing that I don't like. This relates to what I learned because I applied art techniques that I learned in class to some of my sketches. I can apply the art techniques to other pieces of art and also now I know not to draw something random because I will probably end up regretting it.
