Hi, I'm Nicole. I'm an eighteen-year-old senior at Kihei Charter High School. I have lived in Kihei for my whole life. I am half-Austrian. I am the youngest of three. As a kid I was really shy. I am still a little shy but not as much as I use to be. Working with people I don't know well is something that I'm not that comfortable with and something I had to do throughout high school. It continues to be something that I struggle with. Although I still struggle talking to people I don't know well, I have gotten better at it since freshman year. I used to barely be able to approach someone I don't know well but know I can.
My family means a lot to me and they are what inspires me. My mom especially inspires me because she has been through many hard things but she still manages to stay positive through it all. Also she almost single-handedly raised me and my siblings.
My hobbies are drawing, writing stories, reading, and playing with my dog. I read almost everyday normally at night before I get ready for bed. I love to travel and go to new places. My favorite places I have been are San Francisco, New York City, and Austria. My favorite subject is Humanities, specifically the English aspect.
I started at Kihei Charter in 6th grade so I am currently in my seventh year here. I went to Montessori Hale O Keiki from kindergarten to 5th grade. Something that I like about Kihei Charter are the projects we do. I chose Kihei Charter because my older siblings went here and graduated from here and because the school does a lot of hands on learning.
